party d-1 (tomorrow)

Tomorrow. Arrive from 3pm for scones at 4pm. directions are here. If that's locked for you leave a comment and I'll email you or whatever. Bring toppings for scones or teas if you like.

For later, I have in plenty of various spirits, and lots of strongbow. I also have about a dozen bottles of beer which, as described earlier, I seem to keep winning. This is mainly carlsberg. Things to put in cocktails may also be good to bring. If you wish to crash over, try to bring a sleeping bag (I have 2 here if needed).

Oh, and if anyone needs vegan scones, please let me know. My recipe involves milk products (no eggs), but I can use substitutes if needed.

Not vegan, but fairly paranoid lacto-ovo vegetarian, so no lard? :)

no, no lard!

my ingredients will include a non-vegan buttery margarine (ie Buttery Taste Flora : claims to be vegetarian-safe) and semi-skimmed milk. no eggs involved. if needs be i can just substitute vegan margarine and soymilk (for the first batch at least), and that will still work.

I may well sadly have to pull out of coming over :(

I've just been to see my GP about this horrid cough I've got and how my asthma has been bad, to find out that what I thought was yet another chest infection, is in fact broncial pneumonia. How that happened I've no idea.

May be best for me to stay home and recover sadly :(

I'll be arriving in Leicester about 3pm I think (train leaves St Pancras at 1.30pm).

I'm not vegan and I don't have a sleeping bag :(

I presume people will come in their civvies and change later as I don't fancy walking through London in those boots..

A doggy bag sounds a good idea as I won't be able to make your party either...and I love scones too :o(
Will definitely be at Darkscape later on though.

I'm not sure how well scones keep. I'll see what I can do.

Missed my train - got to St Pancras to be told that I'd need to pay an "excess" to board the next one. Queued up to be told that the excess was actually, err, £30! (on a £9 ticket..) That put it out of my price range - getting £9 back for Sunday's ticket (which was £19) but it leaves me £15 out of pocket :(

Hope it all goes well - sorry I can't be there..
