scone party

So I'll be having my long-awaited tea and scone party in May. It will be at my flat in Leiester. Scones will be served at precisely 4pm. There will be tea, various sorts of jam and other fillings (you are invited to bring samples of your own for people to try), and radio 4! I'm not really sure how long it will last, maybe a couple of hours. Or whether we'll be spiking the tea. So anyway, a poll for the date, and to get some idea of numbers:

[Poll #716194]

Have said 20th/21st as that seems most likely but can do any weekend really except the 27th/28th one.

Will bring scones and jam (mini pots if I can fond them!)

Am away in Derbyshire 6th-13th May.

Should be able to make it either 20th/21st or 27th/28th. Although 28th May is my birthday and I'm as yet unsure as to what I'm gonna be doing.

Ah, too bad :( Also I daresay you won't be able to attend my birthday party unless I stick that absurdly far into July? (how long is your honeymoon?) Tsk tsk!

By the way, that reminds me to stick reply in post.

I think we get back on the 13th or 14th.

good idea, lest the mother in law strike off by default and invite even bloody more of her relatives.

That sounds like a great party and I would've loved to be there, but Leceister is a bit far to go for tea ;)

I will just have to make some of my own and think of you scone party goers when I have them :)

Not that I'm likely to make the 100 miles journey just for tea and scones (depends who else is there really) May 20th is Eurovision and thus it is illegal to be doing anything else that weekend...
