I just contacted the GPO and they claim the soonest they will be able to install a phone line is the 19th of September!!!


BT are really taking the piss here. Are there any other telcos that do similar last mile connections in Leicester? Not happy with NTL at my folks' place.

Well, that seems to already require some kind of last mile connection which is my problem. I don't intend to use my phone line to actually make phone calls!
