I seem to have acquired a quite long random scratch on my arm. Its kind of L-shaped. Most curious.

I'm pleased to say it is no longer bitterly cold in the office - instead it is too hot. Yay.

Off to Cafe Scientifique now. Tomorrow I am going to see a film at the Phoenix, and on Thursday I shall be sleeping.

The answer: probably not. Reasonable turnout, if they can keep this number up long-term it will be fine.

Got talking with one of the committee members about language and linguistics. It was suggested I could do a talk (or maybe find someone to do one). I am thinking "Where did our language come from?" would be a good one, starting with modern loanwords, then to Latin/Danish, then going backwards towards Germanic and Indo-European. I have no idea whether I can pull this off but it's something to think about.
