When X-Men 1 came out, a site called Mutant-Watch appeared. It was part of "Senator Kelly's" campaign for the compulsory registration and control of all mutants.
It included helpful advice on how to spot if your neighbours were mutants and which phone number to call when, as a loyal citizen, you do your duty and turn them in.
