got keys and been to flat. no running water yet. or curtain rails. letting agents are engaged. grr.

If you letting agent doesn't do it, remember to go around and list _EVERY_ possible fault which you can find and send a copy to you letting agent (for reference) including marks on carpets, dirty walls etc.

Very useful when you are trying to get your deposit back when you move out.

Take photos (and I think preferably film) of everything before you move stuff in.

Yay! Said HairyEars, who has fond memories of moving into a flat in Birmingham, unpackin all afternoon, and discovering at 10PM that there was no bathplug. And no sink plugs, nor a washbasin plug. Thisn in an apartment with no shower, in July.

Bathplugs are not available in Birmingham at 10PM on a Thursday night.
