i seem to have missed a day.

i looked at my clock and saw it was Friday. i swear the last time I woke up and went to work it was a Wednesday. I know this to be true, in fact, because if it had been a Thursday I would have gone to the comic book shop at lunchtime. and I can instead notice only a sad absence of this weeks comics from my room.

So I figure it's those damn aliens abducting me again. You don't want to know what they get up to with those cows. So what happened on Thursday? Did I miss anything?

Ah, that explains a lot. I was thinking it might be Thursday today, because I went to buy comics this lunchtime. I suppose we'll see tomorrow, whether my alarm clock goes off or not.

Today is definately Friday. A day had to be removed to create a sort-of leap-year (you know how they have to add a February 29th every 4 years, but not if it's a century change, and last new years they added an extra second and all that.)

This Thursday was chosen to be removed because it came top in Channel 4's "Top 100 Least Favourite Days of the Year".

Hmm. I am vaguely reminded of a science fiction story I read when I was a child, in which the protagonist keeps discovering chunks of memory have been wiped, apparently due to a misuse of a time travel device.
