Arrgh that is my birthday and I was about to actually make a plan about going to a pub for drinks then!

The alternative to competing would be to ask very very nicely if I could throw my birthday party then at your place and invite a few people (not huge numbers) along too. I want a party but my place is not suitable for a party. Therefore it was going to be pub, but your place might be better. Maybe this is a very bad idea and feel free to say no!

I wish I knew! My family decided that there will be some event on Saturday to see off one of my cousins who is leaving the country, but have so far failed to tell me any details about it at all, except it being on Saturday.

Probably best to assume I will be at yours for scones at some point, but just as myself, not throwing a party or anything. I'm going to try and bring cake, just to make it birthday-like. :)
