Probably going to see Brendan Benson on Tuesday. Am sorely tempted by the Soundtrack of Our Lives (who I missed the last time they were touring due to illness), on the Tuesday after that, the 1st. But this clashes with global warming! What is a girl to do?

tankgirlinblack told me to go see the Haunted on the 2nd (Wednesday). And I do want to see The*Ga*Ga*s on the 3rd. Help! fox_in_snow, please tell your boss to book worse bands!

And I see Queen Adreena have been booked for Monday 18th April.

Saw Queen Adreena the last time they played The Charlotte. Excellent, excellent band.
They really should release a new album.

They will! "Butcher and the Butterfly", it is called, and the first single, "F.M. Doll" is due out 21st March.

Curiously Amazon.co.uk already have a single for sale by them by that name (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00006L5DL/qid=1108900985/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl/202-5114725-6783818).

whereas that is very good news, it's still over a month away which isn't technically "now" or even "like now", unless you're viewing time in the overall scheme of things since the big bang which, frankly, I'm not inclined to do. ;P

Looking into that single, it appears to have been a non-album single released back in 2002, soon after Drink Me. I guess that they are re-releasing it now means they got dropped from/left Rough Trade - which explains where they've been the last 2 years.

I think I've seen them before (2001ish), but not properly. Either they were supporting a band I wanted to see, or possibly the reverse.
