So, apparently they want to create a crime of 'inciting religious hatred' in order to protect Muslims. Of course.

I work in Leicester South and have been observing stuff randomly. Judging by the number of posters going up it is going to be a shoe-in for the Lib Dems, with RESPECT coming second, Labour third and the Tories nowhere. However, posters don't vote, so who knows?

What's the race relations type thing like in Leicester? I mean in Sheffield we have some asian communities which live side by side with everyone else - allegedly very happily.

Apparently the libdem office is the biggest campaign office they've had in ages cos they found that property so cheap.

Everything is fine and wonderful and multicultural. In the rare instances racist attacks take place it is big news. There are some predominantly Asian areas; but not enclaves like happens elsewhere.

That is the official party line. However, apparently this also used to be true in Bradford.

I saw the Tories' campaign bus today. Very corporate Union Jacy - and utterly unlike the run-down open-top bus RESPECT are using. :)
