having fun with maps.google.co.uk. So far I have discovered that :

It doesn't deal very well with house numbers. "10 Downing Street, London" does not produce a useful result. It doesn't find the two nearest chinese places, but does find the nearest chippy. It has a strange idea of where Elephant and Castle is (Bronti Close apparently), and doesn't know about the London Congestion Charge.

It has icons for tube and mainline stations in London, but not in Leicester (though it does show tracks everywhere).

I noticed it didn't map the roads in my home village terribly well, it shows some things like the B&Q car park opposite our house, yet doesn't show half the roads in my home village...

Love the speed tho, much faster than the American equivalent I was using the other week. Some very nifty vector format jibbler....

Now if they could change the interface to be more intuitive - I hate it, I keep zooming when I mean to move and moving when I mean to zoom. Would like the ability to drag a square to zoom...

Still beats multimap into the dust and is a probable fair contendor for what we use Streetmap extensively for.
