also crashes on sgt pepper. think I have localised the problem - it crashes on ogg files with no nominal bitrate set. which appears to include a bunch of very old ones I have.

H320. Upgraded firmware and the same. People on #vorbis think that it definitely is the nominal bitrate problem. Solving by re-ripping anything that is that old and that I want to copy.

That's pretty much the answer I would have given you eventually.

I know of at least one of the iRiver models won't play any vorbis file that drops below 96kbps or goes above 500kbps. The H320 should manage this though.
