Not sure, but if you use a permanent dye, do a skin test with it first. I can't dye my hair with most dyes now, because last time I did, I ended up in much pain, even though I'd used the same kind of dye before without a problem. It's very annoying.

I've not actually dyed my hair before (!) so will probably be going for temporary or at most semi-permanent to begin with.

Semi-perms will drastically restrict what colours you can go for.

The evil chemical is called paraphenylenediamine (PPD), so watch out for it.
